A masterpiece in industrial design: The Brouwerij De Koninck project by Flexfurn
At Flexfurn we are proud of our recent achievements in designing and implementing the interior project at Brouwerij De Koninck. Located in an industrial environment in the heart of Antwerp, this project was a challenge that we tackled with enthusiasm. We shared our passion for stylish industrial design and created an inviting space where visitors can enjoy the brewery experience with a modern touch.
STEP 1: CONCEPTUALIZATION AND PLANNING
Every great project starts with a clear concept and a well-thought-out plan. We started by analyzing the space and identifying our client's needs. For Brouwerij De Koninck, the goal was to create a contemporary industrial atmosphere that seamlessly matched the history of the brewery.
STEP 2: SELECTING THE RIGHT FURNITURE
Our Salt tables with rust decor table tops were chosen to enrich the space with their industrial appeal. These tables, available in both high and low variants, added character to the brewery. We combined them with 'Tolix Style' bar stools for a cohesive look.
STEP 3: THE HEART OF THE BREWERY
The authentic wooden bar is the beating heart of the brewery. Here we aimed for a seamless transition. By using the same 'Tolix Style' bar stools as on the tables, we maintained consistency in the design and brought a sense of unity to the space.
STEP 4: TRANSITION THROUGH
To ensure that the space radiated organic harmony, we also installed 'Tolix Style' dining tables and stackable chairs. This allowed visitors to move easily between different parts of the brewery without feeling like they were jumping from one atmosphere to another.
STEP 5: CREATING DIMENSION AND ATMOSPHERE
One of the striking features of our design was the use of both high and low tables. This created an exciting dimension to the space, and the variety of seating added to the coziness of the brewery. It created different zones where people could enjoy their drinks and meals.
STEP 6: THE FINISHING
To further enhance the industrial theme, we added subtle details such as metal accents, raw finishes and rustic lighting. These elements were combined with the warm, earthy tones of the furniture to create an inviting atmosphere.
The result of this project is a successful interplay of style and functionality. We have transformed Brouwerij De Koninck into a space where the rich history of the brewery blends seamlessly with contemporary industrial design. Visitors can now enjoy a beer in an attractive, versatile environment.
