Maintenance and sustainability

May I use a pressure washer to clean my tables and chairs?

Flexfurn strongly advises against this. A high-pressure cleaner can damage surfaces and remove protective coatings. With fiberglass-reinforced materials, the fibers can become exposed, posing a risk of skin irritation and property damage (e.g., damaged clothing).

How do I best maintain my products?

For the maintenance of our products, we recommend keeping it as simple as possible. In most cases, lukewarm water and a soft cloth are sufficient to remove dust and dirt. This is safe for both frames and tabletops and prevents unnecessary wear.

We advise against the use of soap or harsh cleaning agents. They can leave streaks or a dull film on the surface and damage the protective layer in the long term.

What is Teflon?

A Teflon (PTFE) treatment on fabric effectively creates a protective layer that repels water and dirt.

How do I prevent rust on metal frames? 

We strongly recommend checking your equipment regularly for scratches or other damage. Do you notice any damage? Repair it quickly. This prevents moisture from reaching the metal and avoids rust buildup. Read more about how to maintain your equipment via this article.

Are there repairs or spray cans available for minor damage?

A small scratch on a powder-coated frame is no reason to panic. To repair damage quickly and correctly, we offer touch-up spray in black and white (this is only available in these two colors).

For best results, we recommend lightly sanding the damaged area first so that the surface is clean and smooth. Then, apply the spray thinly and evenly. This neatly removes the scratch and prevents moisture from reaching the metal, which can cause rust formation. This is particularly recommended for heavily used collections such as, for example, the Kubo or Linea collection.

Can I request a sample or proof before placing a large order?

Yes, that is possible. Depending on the product, we can provide a sample or prototype so that you can assess the quality, color, and finish for yourself.

Product and material

What is the load capacity/maximum weight of a chair?

Our chairs are tested in accordance with the applicable European standards for project, event, and hospitality furniture. According to these standards, the maximum load is 150 kg under normal and correct use.

Do you also sell separate parts or individual components?

Yes, at Flexfurn you can also come to us for separate parts and individual components. Think, for example, of tabletops, bases, or specific replacement parts.

Do you have transport trolley systems for every piece of furniture?

Matching transport trolleys are available for almost all of our furniture (approximately 95% of the range). These systems have been specially developed to make transport, storage, and assembly as efficient as possible.

For a few models, there is currently no specific transport trolley available, namely: Rimini, Octopus, Barrel, Brix, Riva, and the Lounge pouf from the Mundi collection.

Is the furniture fire-retardant or certified for public spaces?

Yes. Our furniture is suitable for use in public spaces and complies with the applicable European standards for project, event, and hospitality furniture.

Depending on the specific product, materials and coatings possess the necessary fire-retardant properties and relevant certifications.

Which materials are suitable for outdoors and which for indoors?

Suitable for outdoors (and indoors)

Aluminium frames are ideal for outdoor use. They do not rust and can remain outside all year round.

Polypropylene (plastic) is perfectly resistant to rain and UV radiation. The material is strong and easy to maintain.

Compact HPL tabletops are thin but exceptionally hard and completely waterproof, making them ideally suited for outdoor use.

What is the difference between melanin and HPL?

The difference between melamine and HPL lies in their structure and moisture resistance.

Melamine is a budget-friendly top layer on particleboard, suitable for indoor use. It is not moisture-resistant and can swell upon contact with water.

HPL is much stronger and more durable. Compact HPL is completely waterproof, scratch-resistant, and suitable for intensive use, both indoors and outdoors.

I want to set up a bar, but I don't know how to put it together?

How can I view the current stock status?

At this moment, it is not yet possible to check the current stock status online.

Do you want to know if a specific product is in stock or what the delivery time is? Please feel free to contact us.. Our team provides you with quick and accurate insight into availability and assists you with your order.

How does the delivery of goods work?

Our goods are delivered on pallets as standard, so that they can be transported safely and efficiently.

If you also ordered matching transport trolleys with your order, the furniture can be delivered directly on these trolleys, depending on the product. This makes unloading, moving, and storing even easier, especially at events and in the rental sector.

My event has already started, but I realize I forgot something. Can I have something delivered later?

Yes, that is certainly possible. We would be happy to look into what is still possible together.

Please note that backorders are processed according to our standard delivery times and availability. We naturally do our best to respond as quickly as possible, but timing remains dependent on stock and transport planning.

What are the delivery costs?

The delivery costs depend on the region and the number of pallet spaces your order occupies.

Since this can vary per order, we always make a customized calculation. This way, you only pay for the actual transport capacity required.

What about damaged furniture upon delivery?

Always check your order upon receipt. If you discover damaged furniture, note this on the CMR and report it as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after delivery, preferably with photos as evidence.

Next, after assessment and depending on the situation, we will arrange for a repair, replacement, or another suitable solution.

Do you offer options for express shipping or urgent shipping?

Yes, in certain cases express shipping or urgent delivery is possible. This depends on product availability, the transport schedule, and the destination.

Please note that additional transport costs may apply for expedited or time-sensitive deliveries.

How do I track the shipping progress of my order?

At this moment, it is not yet possible to track your shipment online via a track & trace system.

Do you want to know the status of your delivery? Feel free to contact us. Our team will review the schedule for you and provide you with an update on the expected delivery date as soon as possible.

What is the average delivery time?

At Flexfurn, we strive for fast and efficient delivery of your order. If you order on a working day before 12:00, we apply an average delivery time of 2 working days for the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg). For deliveries to other countries within Europe, such as Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, you can count on an average delivery time of 4 working days. Furthermore, thanks to our extensive network, we can deliver throughout Europe and the UK, ensuring that your furniture always arrives at your desired location on time.

Can I pick up my order myself?

Yes, it is possible to pick up your order yourself.

Can deliveries also be made outside office hours?

Yes, delivery outside standard office hours is possible.

Please note that adjusted transport rates apply for this. The exact cost depends on the time and location of delivery.

Can I return products? What is your return policy?

Returns are only possible if there is damage or a defect upon receipt, whether visible or hidden. In that case, we ask that you report this within 7 days of discovery and include sufficient evidence.

Next, the product must be returned to Flexfurn, together with the invoice or proof of payment. In the event of visible damage, it is also important that the product is still in its original condition, including the packaging. As soon as the return request is approved, we will provide a return slip or schedule a pickup. Naturally, we will cover the return shipping costs.

However, returns based on taste or personal preference are not accepted.

In which countries do you deliver?

We deliver worldwide.

Thanks to our international transport network, we can ship orders within Europe and beyond. The delivery time and transport costs depend on the country and the order volume.

Yes, that is possible.

Do I have to pay an advance payment or a deposit?

A deposit may be required for certain orders. This is usually the case for non-stock items or special orders.

Will you be coming to our location to view the space? Is it without obligation?

Yes, if desired, we can come on-site to view your space and discuss the possibilities together.

This visit is entirely without obligation. During the site visit, we provide targeted advice on layout, material selection, and suitable setups for your location or event. Additionally, if necessary, we can subsequently develop a proposal or simulation.

Do you offer a warranty? If so, how does it work?

Yes, our products are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery, provided that the furniture is used normally and in accordance with the operating instructions.

When a problem arises, it must be reported in writing. Subsequently, after assessment and depending on the situation, we will arrange for a repair, replacement, or an equivalent solution.

Do you have a showroom, and who can view it?

Yes, we have a showroom where you can view our collections and materials up close.

In addition, the showroom is accessible to professional clients, such as hospitality operators, event organizers, rental companies, and project interior designers.
